Yaqin now presents a new range of diamond drills in various shapes, such as: spherical drills, cuticle safety drills, flame drills, nib drills, cylindrical drills and finally conical drills. So what is the difference between these new diamond drill bits and ordinary drill bits?
The difference is that Yaqin’s new diamond bits are made from a mix of synthetic and natural diamond particles, making these bits easy to clean, last longer and won’t rust. The Diamond Nail Drill works safely on the client’s natural nails, focusing on removing dead skin from the cuticle and surrounding nail walls without worrying about injuring the client’s fingers. It’s important to note, however, that these diamond bits are not as corrosive as tungsten carbide bits, and they create more dust and friction on the nail bed; so use a slower speed when using them, or the bits will heat up quickly.
About drill bit grit size:
Most drill bits typically use a color-coded system to easily distinguish the various particle sizes available for nail drilling. Yaqin Nail Art is no exception, to help customers easily find the right size for most drills, Yaqin includes a removable colored rubber ring on the drill shank. These bits with a removable rubber ring are not only used to determine particle size, but can be adjusted on the shank to keep dirt and debris out of the opening of the nail file.
From thin to thick: F M C XC
Color of the ferrule or line on the shank to ensure less confusion: yellow (XF), red (F), blue (M), green (C), black (XC), orange (2XC) and pink (3XC).
About Each Diamond Drill Bits:
Shaped like a ball, the spherical diamond bit is perfect for cleaning the client’s sidewall and can be easily centered under the nail (when using a smaller spherical bit). The main use is to cleanse cuticles and dead skin and prepare it for back fillers without taking up too much skin or nail plate.
Cuticle Safety Diamond Bits feature a straight narrow barrel and rounded tip to eliminate damage to the side walls around the nail bed. The cuticle safety diamond drill carries a barrel size that is ideal for reaching specific areas of the nail and is not harmful to the client.
Flame diamond bits and fingertip diamond bits are very similar in shape and purpose. These two different drills are great for easily exfoliating cuticles and help create a lifted, clean cuticle look. The shape of the flame diamond bit is narrower and more slender to help gently lift the cuticle without damaging the surrounding area. However, the shape of the fingertip diamond is shorter and wider for precise movement and focus area on the nail bed.
Cylindrical Diamond Bits are slightly similar in shape to Cuticle Safety Diamond Bits, with a long, narrow barrel, but differ in that the Cylindrical Bit has a flat tip. The long, narrow shape of the cylindrical drill helps to cover more of the nail bed when removing grease and shine, making it faster.
Conical Diamond Bits with different sized cone barrels can be used as a general purpose drill to fully access hard to reach areas, clean cuticles and sidewalls, polish the nail bed and finally remove product residue or illuminate the top layer of the nail plate.
